XAT Syllabus – Verbal and Logical Ability

The topics which are covered in this section include the following

• Reading Comprehension

• Fill in the blanks

• Para Jumble

• Cloze test

• Pronunciation

The verbal Ability section was given the second highest weightage in XAT 2023 paper with 24 out of 72 questions. The sectional difficulty level was moderate to tough.

XAT Syllabus – Decision Making

Decision Making is an exclusive section for XAT. The questions come in the form of cases. Generally, a particular situation and problem is given and the test takers are asked to choose the ideal solution from the options. The topics to prepare for are:

According to the XAT analysis of last year, Decision Making was the trickiest section and carried around 30 percent of the questions.

This section is asked in Paper 2 and contains 25 questions. The questions from this section are divided into static GK and current affairs. Last year, majority of the questions were from static GK followed by current affairs. The topics are as follows:
